One Day Movie Review (2019)

One Day is a Hindi Drama-thriller movie  produced by Ketan patel. This film is tells the about a mystry case where a bunch of high profile individuals are missing one after other and a retired Judge is involved in the doings.

Movie  is directed by  Ashok Nanda . This movie is Produced under the banner of A cinema Friday International. Film is edited by Umashankar Mishra and Background score is given by Rishi Singh. Film is written by Alaukik Rahi.

Anupam Kher, Kumud Mishra, Esha Gupta are in lead roles. Zakir Hussain, Rajesh Sharma, Murli Sharma, Zarina Wahab, AnanthMahadevan are in Supporting roles.

Film revolves around the story of a Retired Judge Tyagi Played by Anupam Kher who turns into a vigilante. Over the years of his working period there were cases which he knew for sure,  who were criminals but couldn’t serve justice due to lack of evidence as he was bound by Law.

But after retirement, he went through a heart touching event which shakes him from inside and forced to take law into his own hands. He starts Kidnapping all those culprits who were walking the streets freely due to poor evidence,  in the hope of getting confessions out of the criminals. He believes delayed justice is better than no justice.

Suddenly, towns prominent people start disappearing. Initially a doctor couple, later a businessman and followed by other criminals. He kept all of them in his basement.

Soon this case becomes high profile which intrigues ACP Laxmi rathi played by Esha Gupta and she decides to investigate the matter. Her Entry is accompanied by a Item Number. Her investigation involves opening and closing files. She speaks in a Haryanvi Accent, which is not at all Convincing and so do the Anupam Kher as a vigilante who is all set to torture the Criminals.

Kumud Mishra is playing the role of a local policeman who is a nice person

Surely there is no suspence in the movie as we all know from the start that Tyagi is the Vigilante. But the story is quite captivating though, the direction was not top notch, it definitely has some flaws, loop holes.

First part of the film is not so interesting as the Second Part, which makes it fun to watch.

Review: 2/5
